Cornerstone Church is a growing community of believers in Jesus Christ who believe the message of God's love, grace, and forgiveness needs to be shared with all people everywhere.
We not only want people to get connected to Jesus Christ, we want to help them grow in their relationship with Him. We are striving to provide services and ministries that help accomplish this goal.

Our History
The church was originally started in 1916 (even though the name did not come until much later). The small congregation struggled through great adversity and resistance. They prayed and persevered to maintain a place in the community and God rewarded them by blessing the church - which now has existed for over 100 years.

The church was originally started in 1916 (even though the name did not come until much later). The small congregation struggled through great adversity and resistance. They prayed and persevered to maintain a place in the community and God rewarded them by blessing the church - which now has existed for over 100 years.
In 1922, the congregation voted to become a member of the Virginia Conference (now the Appalachian Conference) of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church, under the name "Narrows Pentecostal Holiness Church."
Many years later, as God began to draw people from outside the immediate area, the name was changed to "Cornerstone," as it remains today.
